Psalm 139: 9 & 10
If I take the wings of the morning
and settle at the farthest limits of the sea,
even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me fast.
even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me fast.
When surfers get comfortable riding smaller waves some will paddle out farther to waves that are taller and more challenging. What ways might God be pulling you out to the bigger waves away from the comfort of the metaphorical familiar surf?

I love the image of one hand holding us and one hand leading us. I sense in this both the care and nurture as well as the calling forward and challenge. God, may I trust you in both.
